The Avant-Garde Comics Webring

This is a webring for avant-garde comics. Experimental, counter-cultural, queer, psychological, horror, post-modern, surreal, and bizarre comics are welcome & sought here. Depictions of mental illness & other personal topics that aren't considered mainstream are also extremely welcome.

If, like me, you are making a really off-putting comic that people tend to not share because of its various controversial or taboo subject matters, then this is the webring for you.

Another way I can put this: this is a webring for NON-COMMERCIAL comics, comics whose primary purpose is NOT making money, or even antithetical to it. If you're making a comic because you want to see it EXIST and its commercial success isn't important, then this is an appropriate place for your work.

Let's share the grotesque, alien, and horrible things we've made with each other and anyone else looking for the weird!

Rules

• The code for the webring must be displayed on your own dedicated independent website over which you have full administrative privileges. Social media accounts like Instagram, Bluesky, Carrd, or similar are not valid for entry; they don't let you edit HTML and this is a whole HTML kinda thing. Comicfury and Neocities are OK. Please have the code up before applying!
• The site you submit must not contain any form of hate speech, harassment, or discrimination against marginalized groups. Obviously we are covering taboo topics, but not thoughtlessly or with intent to harm, OK? Stuff like NSFW & curse words are okay, and are in fact expected. :P
• You must be 18+ to join.
• LLM-assisted works (AI) are not desired.
• You need to have a free & online bizarre comic! If your comic is behind a paywall, you cannot list it here.
• The member list updates whenever I get around to it! Old-school web baybee! You'll be able to confirm you were added to the webring when the code works on your site.
