Not far from the pasture, there was another one, but with no fencing. Underneath some thick clumps of trees, I saw two creatures lying lazily in the hazy sunlight, tails brushing absently at flies. They were drigetti, the exotic animals from the desert. I wondered if they felt out of place in a forested area, but they seemed fairly comfortable. The were very flexible animals.

The first, Ashill, peered at me closely. He was more draconic than his companion, Revell.

Looking up, hearing a companionable chirp, I saw a small reddish canary perched on one of the branches. It flitted down and landed on Revell's reposed back. Ashill nipped playfully at the bird, and he flew up into the tree again, scolding in his sweet voice, which wasn't quite suited to the tone and only amused the lazy drigetti.

After Eshivell had had his say, he was silent for awhile, before returning to his more pleasant singing.
