Lorriam Envelope

You would rather not wander off into the sea of purple flowered grass where the melcey pups are supposed to live. Instead, there is a nearby cut area of shorter, green grass. It's much more peaceful here without so many bright colors to dazzle your eyes, and you walk for awhile along the line of a short fence that keeps on going on in a straight line towards a distant forest. Off to the right, the green goes on for quite some distance, easily matching the savannah of purple that you just left in size. Wistfully, you look around for some sort of inhabitant. The grass is cropped practically to the length of a golf course; it certainly seems like something is grazing here. Walking over another hilly dune, you at least come in sight of a large flock of some sort of goatish creature. They seem an odd combination of a variety of animals, with their long wooly coats that stirr easily in the slightest breeze and slender heads held on flexible necks like llamas. Some turn to look at you a moment before returning to their busy cropping of the grass. One, a rather agressive looking buck, breaks off from the group and comes trotting towards you. His caribou antlers are an elegant show of tines at the merest swivelling of his head. Giving you a thorough sniff, he introduces himself.

Hawlef

"I'm Hawlef, one of the bucks of the flock, and it's my job to make sure wandering bums like you don't get in here. Make trails, bub." He turns away and practically runs into another creature who just came up, who is in the process of rolling her eyes at the buck. "Don't pay any attention to Hawlef. I'm Venuce, welcome to the Lorriam Envelope."

Venuce

The buck grumbles a bit, something about maybe the stranger isn't that bad looking after all. Venuce looks at him a moment and then turns to you with a smile. "Please come and visit the flock. We have lorris, baby lorriams, to give away sometimes, and you might be interested in adopting one. Don't let the bucks drive you off."
